In a major development ahead of the Indian-China LAC talks on the 7th, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping will hold a video conference at the BRICS summit on November 17.

This will be the first communication between the two heads since the tedious conflict -India-China and LAC in conflict in Galwan in which 20 soldiers were killed. No rift has taken place between the two countries as a result of the LAC stance, but no dramatic action has been taken since September 10 - when a five-point agreement was reached.

This comes ahead of the 7th round of talks between Corps executives on October 12. After six military negotiations and five rounds of the Working Mechanism for Consultation and Coordination on India-China Border Affairs (WMCC) negotiations, the next talks will also involve MeA strategist - Naveen Srivastava and XIV Corps Commander-in-Chief led by Lt General PGK Menon, taking over from Lt General Harinder Singh.

 In the last half of the talks, the two sides, who met 50 days later, exchanged views openly and deeply on ideas on stabilizing the situation in the LAC, agreeing to stop sending more troops to the front lines and preventing change on the other side on the ground.

During the rainy season, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh made a statement on the state of the LAC in both houses of Parliament. He confirmed that the armed forces were able to withstand any challenge from China. While acknowledging that the LAC situation is very different in terms of the number of soldiers involved and the number of points of conflict, he reiterated India's commitment to resolving the conflict peace.


 In addition, the two foreign ministers reached a five-point agreement by continuing negotiations and immediate expulsions, while respecting all existing agreements and procedures regarding China-India borders.

The Chinese army retreated
In many Indo-China negotiations, the Chinese People's Movement has returned to Finger 4 and Patrol point 14 near the LAC, while India prioritises PLA work in the Southern Bank of Pangong Tso Lake holding positions of 'strategic importance in the Finger region.

 When China returned to the Galwan Valley, they now surrounded the Finger 5 area near Pangong Tso Lake, with large troops and equipment 5-km from Finger 5 to 8.

 The Foreign and Indian Ministers reached a 5-point agreement recently with the LAC. Twenty jawans were martyred on June 5-6 during an Indo-China insurgency in the LAC's Galwan Valley.
